About the practise

At Young Eyes Optometrists, we combine highly skilled professionals with state-of-the-art optical technology.

We take the time to assess your eye health and vision and will discuss with you the best alternatives to help you see clearly now and into the future.

As well as comprehensively testing your eyes, we also test for common eye diseases such as Glaucoma, Cataracts, Age Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy.

At Young Eyes Optometrists, we offer a number of services including:

Macular Assessment

Young Eyes Optometrists uses imaging of your retina taken on our OPTOS ultra wide-field imaging device and OCT machine to give the most comprehensive assessment of your macula for detection of diseases such as glaucoma and degeneration.

Visioffice-Design your own Vision

Our practice has the latest equipment to measure the real 3D position of each eye’s rotation to create the most individualised lenses available to maximise your vision requirements.

Visual Attention Deficit

In addition to providing comprehensive general eye care, we have a special interest in children’s vision and developmental/behavioural optometry. This involves extensive assessment of each child’s visual skills including perception, analysis and co-ordination.

Coloured Lenses for Visual Stress

Previously called the Irlen Syndrome, our practice has one of only 10 Cerium machines in Australia to assess the benefits of colour in assisting reading fluency, dyslexia and other visual learning related difficulties. The machine developed by Professor Wilkin’s allows for a precise prescription of the correct tint in the spectacles.

Rehabilitation Lenses for Stroke and Trauma Patients

Our optometrists also have experience in the use of optics in rehabilitation of head trauma and stroke victims. This includes the Cerium Coloured Lenses Machine, the latest technology from England to assess the benefits of coloured lenses for multiple sclerosis, head trauma, stroke and ADHD patients.
